Who We Are
Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy was founded on a simple belief: individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserve pharmacy care designed specifically for them—not adapted from traditional models.
Our roots trace back to 2007, when we began supporting a small group of individuals in IDD group homes and quickly recognized that this population required a fundamentally different approach. In 2012, Tarrytown Expocare was established with a singular focus on serving IDD and behavioral health communities, building systems and processes tailored to the unique needs of these care environments.
Today, we partner with providers nationwide to deliver reliable, scalable pharmacy services. Our model is designed to support the realities of day-to-day care, with medication packaging, delivery cycles, and workflows aligned to how nurses and direct support professionals operate.
We serve individuals across more than 35 states, supporting tens of thousands of lives. As we’ve grown, our focus has remained consistent: improving accuracy, reducing administrative burden, and helping care teams deliver the highest quality of care. At Tarrytown, every cycle, every delivery, and every interaction matters—because the individuals we serve depend on it.
Through The Years
2007
Where it Began
Tarrytown Pharmacy began to provide pharmacy services to IDD individuals in and around Austin, Texas. Starting with 150 individuals around the area, it quickly became apparent that community needed unique pharmacy services that weren’t being met.
2012
Why We Formed
Tarrytown Expocare had been formed as a dedicated pharmacy for the IDD community with a singular focus on developing solutions that increased efficiency and accuracy to the nurses and direct support professionals that administer medications.
2019
How We Grew
Due to demand rapid growth occurred as agencies learned of an IDD-focused pharmacy. With over 6,000 individuals and more on the way, we also began expanding into other states and developing more services to further streamline and enhance the healthcare experience.
Now
Where We Are Going
Our pharmacy continues to be 100% focused and passionate about IDD and behavioral health. It is due to the trust and support of this community that we have grown to be America’s IDD and Behavioral Health Pharmacy.
